Shiatsu Yin 2 hour Immersion

A 2-hour immersion of moving Inwards to your Yin state of being. It will include Shiatsu Yin, followed with elemental Yoga Nidra (and may include qi gong)

In Shiatsu Yin we incorporate the two practices of Yin Yoga and Shiatsu touch to offer you a deeper and more nourishing experience while holding Yin postures.

Shiatsu is a Japanese form of body work. Shiatsu has adopted the same philosophy and principles of East Asian Medicine. This form of bodywork creates flow and balance of Qi and allows release for any physical or emotional holdings.

Yin poses are held for 4 – 5 minutes. In which each pose helps open and release the deepest layer of the muscle, the fascia, where the meridian lines lie. East Asian Medicine works towards and into Meridian Lines to support the body’s functioning. Both Shiatsu and Yin Yoga marry up beautifully to target the meridian lines and assist in nourishing and strengthening the areas of focus.

When holding these Yin Yoga postures an experienced Shiatsu practitioner will come around to the area and meridian of focus and offer Shiatsu touch, including palming, finger pressure, and acupressure holds to enhance the Yin Yoga postures…

As the leaves begin to fall from the trees and the days become shorter. The Sun still provides warmth yet the nights cool down. We enter the start of the Yin cycles within the seasonal calendar for the next 6 months, arriving in Autumn.

Autumn is a time when we turn inwards, become quieter, less and more reflective. This offers the invitation for more stillness,  supporting practices of meditation, yoga, qi gong, slow walks in nature, creating more spaciousness in our internal worlds, just as we witness it in our external worlds.

This is a time of year where we focus on our breath, particularly the out breath. Which In turn allows us to internally focus on what we wish to let go of.
The practice of Shiatsu Yin supports this process through the opening and expansion of the meridian lines that are active in this Season, the lungs and large Intestine. Whilst in Yin yoga postures, you will receive Shiatsu touch.
This assists the movement, flow and release of Qi, Blood and Prana. Creating a sense of  freedom, space, relaxation and restoration within.

Hosted and Guided by Jana Higgs Shiatsu Therapist and Yoga Facilitator, accompanied by professional Shiatsu Therapists.

All levels of fitness and flexibility are welcome and anyone that loves to receive a little bit of touch.

(We recommend eating a light meal 2 hours before the event)
